To all LV Lovers… Louis Vuitton leather goods is expanding! Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of the brand’s women’s collections, unveiled a brand new model at his Fall/Winter 2025-2026 fashion show. A bag, called the Express, echoing his passion for travel, which will soon be in everyone’s hands. Focus.
L’Express, the expression of a modern heritage
” The rise of transport that combines adventure and enchantment,” states the official press release. In his fall collection, Ghesquière celebrates, as usual, the passion for travel that he shares with the iconic trunk maker. Through a scarlet palette, lost in iterations of tartan and leather, the artistic director revealed to us, at the time, a most mysterious bag.
As the women’s collection is about to come into stock, following the men’s collection for Fall-Winter 2025-2026 ( already available ), Louis Vuitton reveals more about its latest signature: the Express. Intending to make its luggage more sophisticated, feminine and functional, the house has opted for a bag with a unique design halfway between elegance and practicality.
The construction of the latter is quite interesting, almost intriguing, letting us see in the Express a reminder of the Vuitton heritage that we love so much. The Monogram canvas first of all, the cornerstone of the institution, is found discreetly, but visibly, on the handles and other decorations of the bag. Its supple leather is reminiscent of the Speedy model of yesteryear, popularized at the time by Audrey Hepburn and subsequently made more rigid. And as the same press release states: ” Its name is not the result of chance, Express was the first surname of the Speedy bag of the 1930s .”
As for the more rigid body straps, we 100% recognize the aesthetic of the famous Keepall, giving a little more structure to the whole. This is further proof that the Vuitton tradition is anything but dusty. It reinvents itself, without betraying itself, and shows us a new , desirable and resolutely contemporary side .
A model that meets expectations
When we look at the Express in more detail, we realize that it brings together – almost – everything needed to become a true ally. First of all, it’s a choice of timeless coverings: grained leather or suede. Then, its va ariety of colors that are both urban and feminine, including black, hazelnut, mahogany, taupe, as well as a two-tone duo of ivory and Olympus blue.
Its different sizes are also attractive, making the choice more complex than it might have seemed: one, Small, for quick outings or in the evening; another, MM, slightly more spacious, which will accompany you in your daily life; and a last one, PM, for the most daring on the move. This last one, the largest of the three, will be able to accompany you on your longest trips and possibly even your travels.
The Express bag also features, for both aesthetics and security, a gold padlock that secures the double zip closure. Finally, as for its handling, you will once again be spoiled for choice. ” The multiple interplay of handles and the double strap invite multiple carries: by hand, on the elbow, on the shoulder, across the body,” adds the house.
